The Great Shindig is a musical show based on the book ‘Making Rain and Other Things Is Our Business’ by Tony Smith. The show takes its title from the last story in the book which humorously portrays a concert held aboard a cruise liner anchored in Village Bay on the remote Hebridean island of St.Kilda.
Featuring Wingates Band, Warrington Pipe-Band, The Catherine Brown Dancers, The Brixi Singers and aspiring vocalist Caitlin Wineyard, the show takes its audience on a journey through Tony’s zany world of weather making, a journey that no forecaster could ever predict. You won’t get wet, but you will, hopefully, be warmed by a combination of music and digital animation used to accompany it.
